FounderSean has over 30 years of experience in design and construction. He started DDS Engineers and Constructors in 2001 and, with the addition of DDS Utilities in 2006, has led DDS Companies to become one of the fastest growing organizations in Rochester, NY. Under Sean’s leadership and vision, the DDS family of companies has grown to a staff of 500+ people in the past 17 years and currently is experiencing rapid growth throughout the Northeast. Sean is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York and Pennsylvania and holds a dual degree in Civil and Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University.
Sean oversees The DDS Companies and sister company, Feeney Brothers, as Division President for Artera Services.

PresidentHaving entered the construction industry at a very young age, Mike has carved through the industry’s ranks beginning as a laborer during school breaks and later as a project engineer during college. Since joining DDS in 2015, various roles have been held in both the Heavy Civil and Natural Gas construction divisions. Throughout the course of his career, Mike has managed successful teams on numerous large scale civil projects and assumed leadership over our gas distribution operations in multiple regions. The combined experience of project management, operational leadership, and customer engagement has equipped Mike for his current role as President for the DDS Companies.
Brian J. Sorochty

Brian J. Sorochty
Vice President, EngineeringBrian has over 25 years of experience in the engineering, planning, and management of natural gas pipeline, municipal, commercial, and residential developments. Brian is the primary client manager at DDS, responsible for strategic workload, staffing, and financial concerns of the business unit. In addition to his management responsibilities within the Company for clients, projects, and staff, he has specialized skills in natural gas engineering, land planning, civil/site design, stormwater management design, and overall permitting for local, county, state, and federal agencies. Brian has supported DDSE’s clientele and managed their development projects from the initial planning stages through the entitlement process and during construction. Under his leadership, his team also has relevant experience providing engineering and consulting service supporting a variety of energy companies.

Vice President, UtilitiesEarl has over 40 years of experience in outside utility construction. His projects have included underground gas, electric, and telecommunications projects throughout western New York. Earl’s construction career began right out of high school as a laborer for a utility construction company, and has advanced throughout the years into management, having held every position along the way.

Vice President, Health, Safety, Security & EnvironmentalBrian has over 25 years of combined experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Emergency Response industries and has held various roles during this time, leading Health, Safety, Training, and Environmental Response teams. During the course of his career, Brian has implemented Behavior Based Safety, and Quality programs built Environmental Response teams and brings a strong Operational Excellence approach to the team. At DDS, he leads our Safety, Training, Security, and QA/QC strategies.

Corporate ControllerMorgan has over 10 years of experience in both the manufacturing and construction sectors; she has contributed to and led teams with a focus on transactional and financial integrity. She has been involved in several ERP implementations with a continued concentration on real-time data and procedural efficiency to better maintain internal controls. She holds an MBA in Strategic Leadership from Medaille College. Morgan manages and oversees the daily operations of the accounting and finance departments at the DDS Companies.

General Manager, Energy ServicesJohn has nearly 20 years of combined experience in the heavy civil and natural gas construction field throughout the Northeast. Experience includes design, estimating, project management, and field operations of gas facilities and pipeline projects, as well as heavy civil projects. He is responsible for managing the Energy Services construction group for DDS.

General Manager, CivilMr. Cerqua has over 15 years of combined experience in the Heavy Civil Construction as well as General Construction arenas. His experience includes estimating, project management of DDS workforce as well as subcontractor / vendor workforce, Value Engineering design and project close-out. Justin is responsible for managing DDSC estimating / sales department and all operations of the DDSC Division.

General Manager, TelecomMatt has over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Matt possesses a strong operational background as well as technical expertise in Fiber Optics, VoIP, and network installation. During his career, he has led and managed projects throughout NY and PA. Matt is responsible for managing the daily operations of our Telecommunications division.
